Adult Survivors of Abuse Survive you did, but have you gotten rid of the pain?

If you have experienced abuse in your life, you
are not alone. Abuse, unfortunately, is more common than we want to believe. Abuse occurs in various forms. It can be physical,
mental, emotional, overtly sexual, and covertly sexual, such as lascivious comments, jokes, and overtures.
Abuse takes place at home, at work, even in public places. Abuse affects
every culture, socio-economic level, and every neighborhood. This is a fact that Sigmund Freud refrained from revealing to
the public because it was so shocking and so pervasive. The effects of abuse on the psyche can be devastating, particularly affecting a person's
self-esteem. Many well-meaning parents just do not know that the way they treated you was not right
and that it hurt you (even if you tried every which way to get through to them). Of course, other times, parents or other
family members knew that what they did was wrong, but they nevertheless just couldn't hold back. In light of all this,
you may be asking yourself, "Is there hope?" The answer is a resounding "Yes!" I like to help people like
you get the past out from under your skin so that no trace of that ugly, painful shame can remain. Many tears are often shed
in this process, and when you go through it, you begin to feel whole and great again, like your natural self.
